Membership

We welcome all technical professionals in the Triad area (Greensboro, High Point, Winston Salem, Burlington and surrounding areas) to join SME Chapter 082. Membership in SME (National) is required to be a member of SME Chapter 082.

How to Become A SME Professional Member

To become a member of SME, you will need to complete the steps listed below.

• Register with SME International. This can be done by visiting SME Join Now.

• Pay your SME Dues. This step is also done via the SME National Website. When paying, select your membership level, for example "Emerging Professional" or "Professional", as the Membership Type (Review Membership Level) and "Chapter 082" as the Chapter.

• Once national dues have been paid, you will officially be a member of SME National and membership in the local chapter is included. You will be able to participate in chapter activities and elections, and enjoy all benefits SME offers.

• Membership dues cover one year and are due on your anniversary date. You can pay for 1, 2 or 3 years when signing up or renewing.

SME Chapter 082 Calendar Year

The Chapter year and Chapter Officer terms start on January 1 and end on December 31 of each year.
