About SME Chapter 82

ABOUT US... SME Chapter 82 serves the Northern Piedmont or Greater Triad Region of North Carolina - Winston-Salem, Greensboro, High Point, Burlington and surrounding areas. We are the local chapter of SME (Society of Manufacturing Engineers). Go to www.sme.org for the SME International website to learn more about SME.

Please contact any of the volunteer leaders listed to the left if we can help you in any way. Our mission is to promote manufacturing and provide educational and networking opportunities for our members and local industries. We also encourage our youth to consider manufacturing as a career path.

We sponsor manufacturing related events and programs such as technical presentations and plant tours, as well as support our local student chapter, SME Chapter S044 at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University (NCA&T). We also hold joint events with other professional organizations such as ASME Carolina Section.
